It doesn’t end with confession

So, I want to give you something to think about today. It applies to our relationship with God and all the other relationships in our lives as well.

After thinking about this, I will have to admit there have been times I will confess a short coming, a wrong, an offense, a sin but that’s just merely stating a fact at a particular moment.

For example: I can say, “I’m sorry I raised my voice at you!”

However, to determine the intention of my heart you will have to look at my actions that follow. When we are in a disagreement again, do you notice me taking deep breaths to calm down, listening intently before responding, and/or choosing words of love to express myself. If so, that means that not only did I confess my fault when I told you I was sorry. That means I had a change of heart (repentance) and I’m making a conscious effort not to do that again.

Now does that mean I will never raise my voice again? No, but I should show that I’m working on it by my actions.

Confession is made by the mouth, repentance is made by the heart!

I would take some time and think about confessions you’ve made. Did you have a change of heart or did you just state the facts at the moment to make yourself or the other person feel better?

Examine your prayer time: are you confessing sins knowing you plan to commit the sin again because you intend to make no changes?

After you’ve looked at yourself, take some time and think about those in your life that consistently admit they have done you wrong but you have seen no change. It’s time to set up some boundaries.

I am a princess

Think about when you were a little girl playing princess. If you never role played in that way, you’ve seen someone else do it. Hear the sound of an innocent little girl’s voice as she puts on her crown or gown and boldly proclaims through the grin on her face, “I am a princess!”

I want to remind you today, you are a princess darling! You are daughter of the most high God and you are loved unconditionally. You are not an illegitimate daughter but in fact you were chosen to be apart of the royal family in the Kingdom of God!

Being a princess has its benefits. You have an army of angels assigned to protect and keep watch over you. You have such authority that whenever you say the name of Jesus, demons tremble and flee.

You are favored just because of whose you are! Doors are opened for you, red carpets are laid, you get invited to “dine” at tables others never thought you deserved but your title of princess and your gifts make room for you.

You are supported! When you walk in your assignment that has been delegated to you by your Father the King, the entire Kingdom stands in agreement and works in harmony alongside you.

You are well taken care of. Lack of resources is not something that is even on the mind of a princess. You know the riches of the kingdom are at your disposal!

What would happen if everyday we reminded ourselves that we are a princess? If you haven’t today, meditate on that fact and take advantage of all the benefits.

A talk with the one in the mirror

To the woman in the mirror:

  • I know you tried before and were told it wasn’t the right way or the right time
  • I know you doubted your ability and in your mind could hear the voices of others doing the same
  • I know you see others doing something similar and you feel like your work won’t stand out
  • I know those closest to you don’t always understand and think you are doing “too much”

BUT

  • I know that what’s in you has to get out or you will burst out with frustration instead of greatness
  • I know you were created with a unique voice and a unique flavor that only you can bring
  • I know someone’s life will change when you release the heavenly treasure that’s locked inside
  • I know you will do it because you have to!

You will do IT!

Blessings

Share Words of Appreciation

Happy Valentines Day from the Bundys!

My husband and I filmed a YouTube video sharing our appreciation for one another. Though I’m sure we both feel that we show appreciation throughout the year it was so good to actually hear the words expressed.

We all want to feel appreciated. Lack of appreciation can makes people feel frustrated, discouraged, and used. I encourage you to tell someone today how much you appreciate them for what they add to your life.

Praise and Worship is how you show appreciation to your Heavenly Father, start there and then speak words of appreciation to others.

Be blessed

The Lesson before the Test

I realize that often times I like to skip to the test in hopes that I pass regardless of whether I’ve actually learned a lesson or not. Testing has a purpose. A test is designed to test your knowledge and to evaluate how well you understand and can apply what you have learned.

This morning I had to take an annual course that gives you the option to skip the lessons and take the test. Honestly, this is usually the option I take. Why? It takes less time and I feel like I know the material. Well, I mistakenly hit the wrong button and had to take the whole course again before I could take the final evaluation. This got me thinking…

How many times do we try to skip ahead and pass the tests of life but haven’t effectively learned our lesson. We are missing out on the wealth of knowledge that the “University of Life” is trying to teach us because:

  • We are in a hurry and are rushing to our next step
  • We think we know it all already
  • We forget things, people, and seasons are constantly changing

It make take extra time but make sure that you are learning the lessons life is trying to teach you. Yes I know it seems you always pass the test but how well have you really mastered what you were supposed to learn!
