So, I was holding a grudge against my husband. Yep, Hey don’t judge me! LOL
He apologized about something and I felt like I forgave him too quickly. I was sitting “overthinking” coming up with reasons to stay mad. The Holy Spirit came in with conviction using this scripture. (That’s why you need to KNOW the Word of God so it can help you at the right time!)
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
I Corinthians 13:4-7 NKJV
So I put my name in place of the word love in this scripture and realized I was falling short.
Take this quiz today. Read this passage of scripture with your name in place of the word love. Does the scripture represent how you demonstrate love? What grade did you get?
If you you or your spouse are falling short in any of these areas then you know what to pray for and what to declare using this scripture.
If you are not married yet and your partner is falling short, you have some evaluation to do. Is he or she really a keeper?
This scripture doesn’t just apply to our romantic relationships but to all of our relationships. We must get love right! If we fail at loving, we fail at everything else.
If you are having issues in this area I can help!
