If you are honest with yourself I bet you have had times in your life that you needed help but were in denial. It can feel as a sign of weakness to ask for help when we act in immaturity.
Get the help you need so you can get better, move on, and be of help to others. Denying your need of help is detrimental to your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
I’m reminded of the 10 lepers in Luke 17. The Bible says Jesus entered the village and there were 10 men who were lepers. They stood afar off but cried out loud: “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” They were banished to the outskirts because of their condition. So to get the attention of Jesus they had to cry out loud!!!!
When I studied this I couldn’t help but think of the times my answer, my help, my blessing was right in front of me. Even offered to me. All I had to do was acknowledge I needed it. I let pride keep my voice muffled from asking for or accepting the help! I might have whispered I need help, I even acted out emotionally thinking others would just notice my need for help. When all I had to do was ask and/or receive!!!!
No more needless suffering. When help is walking before you, like Jesus walked before the lepers recognize and cry out! Don’t miss your blessing.
